801-- You have a quiz on tuesday and make sure you have DN/CW/HW#8 completed and ready to check.

802 &803-- You have the SUM FUN #1 and the standard packets due next week.
For the sum fun #1 you have to have 2 down = 79, 28 across = 61, 27 across = 100.
With these numbers you can figure out the sum fun#1.

804 -- You have a quiz on Tuesday, Please study the material on HW#8 fraction review.

To all 8th Grade classes:

Grades are do next week on the 17th of October.

We have a Quiz this week!!!

Binders are due this week for a quiz grade.
-- Please bring your binders daily
-- Make sure you have purchased dividers and organized your binders.

Every class received their Impact Text books except 801. You will receive yours on Tuesday. Please make sure you take the textbooks home and leave them there for a reference.

Challenging Problems

1.)Imagine you have one cup of tea and one cup of coffee. Place a spoonful of the tea into the coffee and then place a spoonful of the tea/coffee mixture back into the tea. Does the cup of coffee now contain more tea or the cup of tea more coffee?

Course Description:
8th grade mathematics is a year-long course that prepares students to enter the study of Algebra I (a high school credited course). The focus of the course is building the foundation necessary for success in the study of algebra. Students will become familiar with the following: the properties of mathematics; the language of algebra; solving one step and two step equations; adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational numbers and integers; solving inequalities; graphing equations and inequalities; proportion; percent; statistics and graphs; probability; applying algebra to geometry; measurement; introduction to trigonometry; and the study of polynomials.
